Pasiparuppu payasam

                                         PASI PARUPPU  PAYASAM

     


     INGREDIENTS:

      1.     Pasi paruppu (skinless split green gram) -1 Tumbler

2.      Jaggery  -3|4 Tumbler

3.      Raw rice -2 Tsp

4.      Coconut  -1 Tbsp

5.      Cardamom-5 nos

6.      Cashew nuts(broken)- 2 Tsp

7.      Dry grapes- 1 Tsp

8.      Milk-    1 tumbler                   [ OPTIONAL :if u want, u can add milk]

                                              

METHOD:

·         Cook pasi pappu with 2 tumblers of water.

·        Put Crushed jaggery in a pan and add 1|2 tumblers of water. Keep it in sim flame till it dissolved.Then strain the jaggery water.

·        Mash dhal lightly with a ladle, and add jaggery water .

·         Add little more water or milk.

·         Meanwhile grind coconut and rice into paste and add to the payasam.

·         Add cardamom power and fried cashew and dry grapes.

Note: instead of milk and water u can add coconut milk.fry the dal in the pan without pouring oil.fry the dal & then cook the dal.
